I saw this online and thought it was really cool, especially for the classes (Summit SS9 and SS10) who have learned about the emergence of Vancouver.
1B – SS9: New Immigrant Projects are due next Monday, May 1! Election Scrapbooks are due Monday, May 15!
1A – SS8:
For those of you wanting to visit your local candidate’s campaign offices to ask questions or to collect artifacts for your scrapbooks, check out this link for locations. David Thompson is located right on the border of 2 electoral districts: Vancouver-Kensington and Vancouver-Fraserview. You can (should) go to the offices of the candidates who live in your district (depending on where you live). Here’s a link to a map of the area around DT.
All classes: meet in the computer lab (Room 223) on Wednesday.
For those of you who don’t live in Vancouver-Hastings, you can totally go check out your own district’s campaign offices, since Van Tech is located right on the border of Vancouver-Hastings and Vancouver-Kingsway, with Vancouver-Mt. Pleasant also nearby (just on the other side of Commercial!) Click here to see locations.
All election scrapbooks are due Tuesday, May 16.
2.4 – Summit SS10: work on your Louis Riel trial research.
2.3 – SS9: projects are due May 2.
2.2 – Summit SS9: projects are due May 2. Finish the worksheet on Autocracy/Democracy/Consensus for next class.
2.1 – Summit SS8: great job on your presentations. You’ll get your marks back Friday.
