1.4 – Flex Hum 10: no homework, so use this time to catch up on previous assignments!  Next class, we talk about our city, Vancouver!


Thurs. Jan. 25

1.1 and 1.3 – SS9: thanks for your presentations.  Those of you who haven’t presented must present on Tuesday at lunch.  I’m still missing a lot of Napoleon comics and invention posters.  Please get these in ASAP before you get too far with Mr. Hill.

1.4 – Flex Hum 10: the map and the worksheet on BC are both due on Tuesday.

Wed. Jan. 17

1.1 – SS9: Indoor Track Meet next class.  Good luck!  Presentations start Tuesday, so please be prepared.  If you could e-mail me any presentations so I can prepare them ahead of time, that would be great.

1.3 – SS9: meet in the computer lab for your last day of research before presentations start next Tuesday.

1.4 – Flex Hum 10: Indoor Track Meet next class.  Meet in class for attendance before we head down to the gym together.  Your chart and decision on the Battle of the Routes is due next Tuesday.

Mon. Jan. 15

1.1 – SS9: project work continues in class next day.  Be sure to bring a device to use. Presentations start next Tuesday!

1.3 – SS9: we will be in the computer lab.  Presentations start next Tuesday!

1.4 – Flex Hum 10: today, we quickly summarized the NW Rebellion and the fate of Louis Riel.  Next class, we will talk about the CPR and its importance in moving Canada’s borders towards the Pacific.

Thurs. Jan. 11

Sorry for my absence today.  I wasn’t feeling well and my voice didn’t come back.

1.1 and 1.3 – SS9: you should all now have been assigned an invention for the project.  Presentations will begin on Tuesday, January 23.  If you decide to change your topic, 2 things must happen: 1) you need to make sure nobody else in the class is doing the same topic as you, 2) you must inform me of your change in topic.

1.1: we will be in the library next class.

1.3: we will be in the computer lab next class.

1.4 – Flex Hum 10: please complete the entire package (omit #7 on page 2) for Monday.  I will also collect your paragraphs about the HBC/NWC next class as well.
